An absolute gem of a movie.

I still remember I used hate when my mom use to watch this movie on TV or prime or youtube because it was her favourite and I was like what a boring movie, BUT after couple of years when I finally watched it alone in one sitting i realised what an absolute idiot I was.

From acting of every single person in the movie to its gem of an album this movie is just amazing and simply a perfection as a romantic movie.

This movie is never about 2 people with shared love but with 2 people with shared pain & how that pains connect these 2 people and it shows that perfectly & beautifully on screen.

The direct Shakti Samanta made two other romantic movie with Rajesh Khanna (Kati Patang & Aaradhana), But nothing matchs the absolute perfection & beauty of this movie.

The writer Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay wrote such a beautiful screen play and not just the screen play but also the original short story of which this movie is an adaptation of "Heeng Kachori". That short story is even more beautiful and soothing, that entire story is from the perspective of the little kid and it is just sweet and soothing to read that story, it's actually in Bengali but you can read the English translated version its available on

google.

This movie is simply a perfect movie and I love every minute of it.
