Using WireView Pro II with a 12VHPWR extension for 5090 FE?

Would using a WireView Pro II with a male-female 12VHPWR extension between the GPU theoretically work? If so, what are issues/risks involved other than what's obvious?

I own a 5090 FE which is unfortunately incompatible. I don't care about aesthetics and just want a safeguard against current imbalance. Ignoring obvious issues like maybe voiding the warranty or the extension being poorly made, it looks to me this might work in theory end-to-end yet I feel there should be gotchas I am missing, esp. regarding electronics.
