Maybe I’ve been so dysfunctional that I can’t recognize normal?
I’m not sure what I’m saying. Anyway my new doctor after an insurance change has prescribed me vyvanse. She thinks along with my diagnosis of OCD, that I also have ADHD. She is the first psych that has said this. Though it does run in my family, and so maybe.
I have started the vyvanse.
My head is absolutely silent. Weird silent. At first I liked it. Now it’s just, I’m not sure how to put it, but it’s unnerving. It’s quiet.
Maybe this is how neurotypical people feel all the time. I’ve never felt this is my life.
The pharmacist when I picked up asked if I’d ever taken it before as she said it was an unusual dosage for a first prescription. It’s 40mg. When I do think, I think of that. I’ve been thinking of that a lot. But the psychiatrist knows what she’s doing probably.
So, I guess I’m posting this to see if it’s normal. I mean I’m aware enough to know my OCD could be clouding this. Maybe quiet is good?
I’m hoping this doesn’t fall under the reassuring rule. I don’t want reassurance that my compulsion is ok, I just want to know if I’m supposed to feel this way.
