How do I?

As an Asian person (born and raised in the USA), I often find myself in situations where people I serve attempt to converse with me in Spanish even though the whole time I'm serving them, I've been speaking English fluently with no accent at all. How can I handle these situations? Or does anyone have the same experience? Ngl, I have mixed feelings about it.
