First time player bard!

I am currently coming up with my first character. Gort the GREAT who is a chaotic good bard gnome. The idea is that this guy is a very spiritual and a nature loving magical being that uses his love for the natural world/spirituality to create art. Gort is not really a wizard who plays music per say but an artist, and the spells he casts are more pieces of art. I was wondering if the acolyte background makes sense for him. He is very knowledgeable in himself and what his music means to him, lesrning about the power it holds.

I am new to the game but have been thinking about this character for a while. I am hoping to eventually do a multiclass warlock thing after I gain XP. Idk what the bet trauts would be for this but would love recommendations :)
