9800X3d Turbo Mode SMT Issue

Hello,

I'm a novice PC builder and trying to disable X3D turbo game mode to enable SMT. I've read online its not a great setting and SMT offers more performance. I game but also use this PC to animate, model, and texture.

When I go into my BIOS and disable X3D turbo, SMT still only has disable and auto options. When my PC boots I check HWINFO64 and it only shows 8 cores 8 threads. I checked adrenaline and everything is up to date.

I've found other threads about this issue but all their problems stop at disabling turbo mode something I cant seem to do properly.

Oh also when I'm in simple mode in the BIOS and I go to X3D turbo mode it sorta bugs out and doesn't let me select click anything so I go into advanced to disable it instead. I have to restart my pc after because I cant exit bios

Any help would be appreciated, please let me know if you need more info. (new to reddit sorry if I'm missing something)
