I am unable to load into the game after making my household.

when i play, im completely able to load into the game, and create a household to my liking, however when im done, i click the world i wanna use, then plot, get the music but then get put BACK to the screen to choose a world. if i then go back to see the lot i chose, it tells me to create a household to put into the world. this is not only the ones i create now, but also my old ones, i click a lot, nothing. this only started happening after i bought two DLCs (the one with the horses and city life), it worked fine even with mods earlier.

i have so far tried disable mods and restating pc. what else can i do?
