Venezuela Question…

Ok. Work with me here. I’m not an expert in this.

We all know oil is a major factor in the Venezuela situation. Probably the largest.

But as a secondary factor, does the banking actually play a role?

The Central Bank of Venezuela is a state-owned and controlled government entity, responsible for issuing currency and managing monetary policy.

In April 2024, it was reported that Venezuela's government mandated Rothschild & Co., a multinational financial advisory group, to map out what the administration owes and to whom. This "debt mapping" is a standard initial procedure before formally beginning debt restructuring negotiations.

Is this not just a takeover of oil resources, but also a takeover of banking and currency for the long term?

Help me understand all angles.
