Trip Report 1/02/2026

This was my 4th time visiting (3rd time in the past year). Arrived at the trailhead by 6:15, was at the springs around 7- was the 3rd person there. Trail was a little muddy and slippery, and the streams were high, so it took a little longer to make the hike. Not perfect conditions, but the springs are your reward!

Some of the lower pools were washed out by recent rains, but there were people (one man in particular) digging them out and rearranging rocks. Water temperature was good in the upper pools especially- including the 3rd one from the top, my favorite. It's normally a social pool, with lots of people coming and going. I even went in the top two, usually too hot for me, but cooled by the rain to a warm, tolerable temperature.

There was a good amount of nude/topfree use, which was good to see, as this is a clothing optional spring, and visitors need to help keep it that way by partaking if they want. I was nude all day (as were the 3 men already there when I arrived). There was a nude couple or two, a few topfree women, and nude single men. I don't like being the "only one nude"- which I wasn't, as one nude man stayed all day. There was, however, an argument later that day with a bunch of twentysomethings vs. the nude man fixing the pools. They yelled at him to put a suit on because there were kids there (I was submerged in the 3rd tub relaxing with a friendly topfree woman when all this was happening, so they didn't pick on me). The reality is that it is a known clothing optional place- there is even a sign on a rock on the trail leading in- and it is on the parents to decide whether or not to bring their children. On the other hand, I hear that there are families who are fine with the nudity, and even partake in it (though not when I was there). It's not up to a small group of obnoxious "bros" to ruin the relaxing clothing optional vibe of the place.

Soaking and relaxing nude is not lewd, and I have not seen any overt sexual activity there.

So come to the springs, shed your suit, relax, and have fun!
