Cars in packaging?

My son is 16 months old, and my step dad and I have been getting him some collectibles like Maisto Harley Davidson bikes, some hot wheels and a cool Maisto limited edition ford truck. Would you display them in packaging? Or display without packaging? I’m so torn what to do! lol I don’t know a whole lot about collectibles, but if they’re more valuable kept in packaging for when he’s older, I’d prefer to do that but I’m getting mixed info online! My nieces already tore one in packaging, but the rest are hidden away, I’d like to display them on his wall. Anyway, thoughts are much appreciated!!
