I have fallen for the lure before, now not ever more

I was thinking of a good mantra to swear by that isn't dead to rights, you know? So I settled on this for now.

"I have fallen for the lure/lore before, now not ever more."

To end with a declaration for the future is very suitable for me and the alliteration and rhyming and rhythm make it more of a definite for me. I hope this can help some of you too. I'm trying to get creative with how I approach things this time. I can't be consigned to things that feel dead or worn out or incongruent with what I need reinforced. Thanks, y'all.
