Employer refusing to share health insurance policy details .
Hello, I work as a teacher in a school, and my name has been added to a health insurance policy without my consent. I was aware that the school provides insurance, but before I could get it cancelled, my name was added. I am now being told that nothing can be changed till next year.
After this, when I inquired about the policy documents, as I would like to go through the benefits and clauses, I was informed that they cannot be shared as the policy is “in process.”
I wanted to ask whether this is how it usually works. As employees, aren't we entitled to read the policy? Also, do schools have the right to add an employee’s name to an insurance policy without any signature or paperwork? The lack of transparency feels concerning, and I would like to understand my rights properly.
