How realistic is finding a decent 1-bed to rent in London right now?

I’ve been browsing listings for a while and honestly finding it hard to get a clear sense of what’s realistic anymore. Prices seem to vary wildly, viewings go fast, and some places look very different in person compared to the listing.

I’m not asking for specific listings, more trying to understand expectations. For people who’ve rented recently, what compromises did you end up making like location, space, condition, or price? And what turned out to matter less than you thought?
