I went to the office today and since I had forgotten to book my seat, I had to sit away from my team’s bay. We have an open cubicle-like structure and you can mostly see who’s around you clearly. I went to a khaali bay and sat there, and was soon joined by a girl.

After a while when a guy who’s familiar to her dropped by and they had a quick chit-chat. They completely ignored me because I was a bit away from them, so they probably thought I was deep in my work and not eavesdropping (I was supposed to prepare for a few calls but was procrastinating).

But guys... when the conversation seemed to end, the girl would find a random question or a point just to extend it. She was deffo into him and was dropping so many hints. Some of the gems I overheard:

• “Tumse baat karke time thoda fast ho jaata hai ya sirf mujhe lagta hai?”

• “Tum itna interesting kyun ho? Thoda boring bhi ho sakte ho.” And then she finally hit him with: “Tumhare saath coffee pe baithke log-watching would be fun.” I was sitting there pretending to be busy, but internally I was like, "Okay girl, I see you! Go off!"

But the guy? Absolute. Zero. Signal.

He just stands there and goes: “Haan, tum logon ke saath bahar gaye huye kuch time toh ho gaya hai. Plan karte hain.”

BRUHHH. 💀

"Tum logon"?? Woh bechari soch rahi hogi sirf mere se matlab hona chahiye 🤣 I couldn’t tell if he was oblivious or if he was "friend-zoning" her at this point (I genuinely think the guy was a bit dumb).

I just sat there smiling like some kind uncle watching young folks in love. Honestly, it was the only highlight of my day because right after this, I had a few calls where I absolutely got my shit rocked. Had a shitty rest of the day, so this was the only entertainment.

To the guy: if you’re reading this, she doesn't want a group outing. She wants the coffee. Wake up.

TL;DR: Witnessed a girl shooting her shot in the office bay, guy responded with "group plan vibes." My soul left my body.

Witnessed a major "Bruh" moment in the office today
