WIBTA for having someone who hit me with their car pay for damages that were already there?

A few days ago I was an idiot and got in a minor fender bender resulting in 1500 in repairs to the front of my car. Thankfully everyone was safe. The next day I took my car to the car wash and the guy in front of me had his car in reverse. He ended up backing into the front of my car 3 separate times before noticing and coming out.

WIBTA if I had him pay for the damages?
