Event rewards generally suck, but could be improved easily
Pretty much all events reward a pitiful amount of char/weapon exp, SLCs, and not even enough carmines to +5 a gold wedge. The SLCs mitigate how much we spam exploration by 5-10 min depending if it's a 10 or a 20 reward when we get them at least, but they're still pitifully low.
Basically, there are only ever 2 main targets I'm looking for in these events: Twilight Treads and Character Track Shift Modules. If the event doesn't include those, then it is a very skippable event.
But this is an easily mitigated issue in a few ways:
-
Add cosmetics to the events, not even just character/weapon cosmetics, but things like titles, avatar icons, borders, etc.
-
Instead of rewarding a pittance of everything, hard focus on and reward a large amount of one thing while still maintaining a capstone reward of the Twilight Tread or a decent cosmetic at the end. And by large amount, I mean enough to meaningfully upgrade whatever system the event is rewarding to at least 1 cap. (For example, getting a char enough exp to go from 1-80, or enough carmines to upgrade 1 gold wedge to +10)
-
Add weekly end of week events that increase the reward amount of one of the commissions by a percentage. Put this on a rotation. Just start with Coins in Excavation and go down the list week after week.
-
Events shouldn't be more tedious to do than the afk grinding we are already doing.
