I picked the worst time to make a career change
I moved to Germany and realized that I could not work in my previous profession (I wrote articles and edited them, posts for websites, social networks, etc.). Then I decided to complete a bootcamp on UI/UX design, as I've been interested in the topic for a long time. I haven't been able to find a job for a year and a half now (only a couple freelance projects, but I need something more stable and permanent to get permanent residency) and I realize that the situation is only getting worse. I remember how many vacancies there were two or three years ago, and now it's as if there are no vacancies for juniors at all and everywhere you need German C1 or higher (quote). Now I'm thinking about choosing a new profession, but try not to make a mistake so it doesn't disappear because of AI. The only problem is that I’m a total humanities person, not a stem at all. My degree is in art history. What would you do if you were me? 32F, Germany.
