How did you prepare yourself for the unknown future back then?
FYI here's another post about relationship but with a twist.
Long story short, I kept changing my mind about marriage the past few years cos I thought it wasn't possible for me to fall for someone else. After lots of therapies and discussions with friends, family, and stranger online lol I think it's time for me to prepare for plan B.
I'm still open to know someone and willing to put effort only if i's high quality healthy relationship. But let's be honest, it's tough out there to be single and trying dating app (or even trying to date a man in general). I'm also quite shocked with my results cos there's 8 billion people on this planet and I just need one man lmao. So, my questions:
- How to not get emotionally affected by all the things like romance in drama, wedding news from friends or colleagues, people showing PDA? I don't hate it or being too jealous, but sometimes it stings you and makes your head spiral back to 'why it didn't happen to me?'. I don't want to grow bitter over this and want to learn how to manage this.
- What kind of living arrangement worked best for you? Do you prefer to have roommate, living alone or moving back with family to cope with loneliness or singleness? Do you adopt any pet?
- What short of trick you do to yourself when you go back regretting that things didn't work out, you couldn't find love and be single too long? Was it easy journey?
- Lastly, what's one thing women over 30 should always remember when they haven't met the right one or end up being the unmarried ones?
I hope it's not a lot to unpack. I'm just trying my best to prep my future in case it comes down to this life eventually :)
Many thanks.
