Tips for doing Ground School on your own?

I wanna minimize costs as much as possible so flight training would be at a local flying club, but as for ground school, if anyone cam shed light on if drilling the Sporty’s course, or any other options do the job, it’d be greatly appreciated! Just wanna make sure I have ample knowledge for my written knowledge tests without paying for full on ground school classes.
