Eat less = poop less?

Question :snoo_thoughtful:

First of all I want to say that I am in contact with my doctor on this, and also that I’m currently taking MiraLAX on his suggestion because I know it’s been longer than it should be, even for me (when I’m dieting it’s perfectly normal for me to go every 2-3 days).

That said, it’s been a week at this point with no substantial bowel movement (there was a tiny tiny one a couple of days ago but nothing else). Hence the MiraLAX. However I also have eaten very, very little in that time; I just started the 1.7 dose and had some horrific side effects day one and judging by my experience with 1.0 it will take a while for me to recover and be able to eat a decent amount again.

If I was straining to poop or in pain etc I would be much more concerned about constipation/potential impaction, but as it is I’ve not felt any real urge to poop or any particular stomach pain outside of one instance where I ate a little more than I should have lol.

Is this recognizable to anyone else? Like I said my doctor isn’t concerned, I’ve seen other posts where people are told to rush to the ER when they haven’t pooped in a week plus but they’re also like trying to poop and aren’t able to whereas I just haven’t needed to. All I can think of is that I’ve been eating so little that there just isn’t much needing to come out.

(Mind you I also probably should be taking a fiber supplement lol)
