How do I start learning about applying make up and expressing myself through it?
I'm a 23 year old transfemme person who is starting HRT really soon. And I understand that alongside estrogen, I'll need to invest time and energy in other tools of transitioning as well, like laser, eating well, exercise, experimenting with my own style, and make up is one of them as well. The difficulty I'm facing is that - apart from some messy smokey eyes I used to do in the past, or just vibrant eyeshadows applied by finger which were quite easy to do - I don't have much experience with it. I wasn't allowed to experiment with it while growing up and even tho my friend groups now are predominantly queer and femme people, I haven't really gotten around to asking for help. So I was wondering, does any of you have any advice about where to start from? What are the basics? What are some good resources to rely on as I discover my journey on the way? Tips to feel more euphoric? (If you have any advice for skincare routine as well, that would be deeply appreciated, thank you so so much for taking the time and energy to engage 💗)
