London to Dolomites - Pick up Campervan, which City? And which month?

Any advice would be very helpful please!

I'm looking at flights from any London airport to the Dolomites for 2 adults. We would like recommendations from those who have rented a self-contained Campervan there for around 10-14 nights. We would like to miss the winter months, and focus on mainly walking/hiking during the stay.

1. Which month would you recommend to visit? And why?
2. Which airport did you fly into?
3. Any specific website you recommend to book and pick up the campervan from?
