Hype died down. what you think now?

Now the hype has died down. What do we think what's going on?

My theory and i thought about this before it was published but it's the best theory there is

Half Life 3 is real, it wasn't announced at TGA due to the RAM crisis. Companies knew way before this that there was going to be a shortage, Sony and Microsoft and also Valve knew. Maybe the reason why Xbox and PS5 consoles went out a few months ago (Not sure when the crisis started)

You can't announce a price of a new home console without knowing how much it's going to cost you. With RAM prices going up and changing. It puts valve in a difficult position. They can't exactly make a loss and i believe the Steam Machine will sell better than the Steam Deck

I think they have locked down the pricing for the controller and VR headset but can't exactly announce 2 out of 3 prices and be like "Erm yeah sorry you're gonna have to wait for that"

I also think Half Life 3 is a release title, Tyler McVicker said that Valve was working on optimisation for HLA for FSR3, again, steam machine is optimised for FSR3 and knowing valve. They'll launch a major HL game with something new. Only exception was Half Life 1

So brothers and sisters, this is a waiting game. This isn't the rumour of like 2010 being "Oh Half life MAY be worked on but not sure" this is more like "Yeah Half life 3 is 99% finished and it's a waiting game"

Maybe Half Life 3 isn't announced because Valve looked at Rockstar with GTA6 and thought "yeah nah" with the announcement, personally i think Rockstar announced GTA6 way too early but they could have delayed it due to optimising reason, it was delayed just before the crisis started? Maybe Rockstar knew too?

Another way i think Half Life 3 is very much real and immanent is that Valve allegedly set out a canary trap to it's employees. Gave them multiple announcement/release dates to see who would leak the info (I saw this in a video yesterday not sure who buy though)

No hate on this post please, i'm not trying to annoy anyone. This is my personal opinion. I've been a half life fan as long as i remember, playing on a pc when i was 4 back in 1999
