Residency Permits for Parents

Has anyone recently applied for Residency Permits for parents and been accepted? If yes, what was your pay package like?

I’m in the QAR 20k range and would like to know if I should apply for RP or bring them here on visit visa. Parents would be here most of the time in the year if RP succeeds.
