How the ending could have went

Everything begins the same, except not quite, they prepare and go to their designated spots as planned, as the dimensions close and the tower collapses, steve as expected falls down, and he grabs on to the edge, at the same time hopper just shot at the tank and broke eleven out, under the influence of vecnas hallucinations, severely injuring eleven, now when its cold i'd like to die starts playing, as we cut back to steve losing his grip, dustin runs over desperately but steve couldnt hold on and falls, dustin is held back by jonathan saving his life while he tries to jump to steve, and we watch as steve dissapears into the mist, we return to hopper and eleven, who wasnt just shot in the vision, but in reality aswel, and now she is bleeding out, hopper puts pressure on the wounds while he desperately apologizes to her, explaining what exactly happened, now we return again to the tower, all of whom are shaken and shocked at steves death, dustin is completely broken, crying, eventually the descend from the tower, and now they have to go up to dimension x, this time hopper meets with the group carrying 11 to enter dimension x, the moment they enter they run into a horde of demodogs, demobats, and demogorgons, they clear out tons with gunfire, and eventually get past them in some way, then they reach the mind flayers carcass, where they run into vecna, eleven, still injured from the bullet wounds, stands up and faces vecna, while will tries to connect to the hive mind to weaken vecna, perhaps injure him, and remove excess demogorgons and whatnot, and while vecna is facing off, they hear a rumbling, and the massive structure moves, and stands, now they are facing two opponents, they realise they will be screwed if they face it off head on so nancy offers to be bait, heaing into a ravine, and while it tries to reach her they rain fire and gunfire on it, eventually it gets nancy, and focuses its attention on the rest, vecna is fighting eleven still, and eventually will uses his connection to mortally injure either vecna or the mind flayer, weakening either one, and leading to their eventual defeat, once vecna is defeated (in a long 10 ish minute sequence) they focus on the mind flayer, which is agitated, it might end up killing some of them, but for now lets assume they all live, the rest at least, or even better, dustin sacrafices himself yelling 'for steve, and for eddie' or something, and he damages the eggs on the bottom, severely injuring it, but dying, the mind flayer will lose, and now there is a timeskip, it will be a consise, 1 or 2 scene timeskip, probably just the graduation and the gang hanging up their books, i bet the gang would wear hellfire shirts for dustin in the end, but im unsure (and they obviously save the 12 childeren in the mind flayer before i forgot to mention)

So thats a much better ending in my book, simply because its clear the fake out death scenes are to make us feel emotion without any actual tension or consequence and it makes me so mad.
