Episode 4 Spoilers and Thoughts: Don't jump the gun. Just yet...

Discussion

Unlike what seems to be a large vocal majority I'm more fascinated and intrigued with what's happened to our beloved wasteland.

From what's been said S2 was going to leave the NV canonical ending still open to interpretation and in order to do that I think there were 2 possible routes:

Route 1: (The ideal route and the one most people wanted to see. All factions kinda won?)

Ncr are still a large functional group with a hold on civilised territories but are still low on personal and sparcely stationed.

The Legion are still a powerhouse not to be messed with but are missing order and nowhere near the well oiled machine that they once were.

Vegas is still a thriving hotspot with fully functional securitrons. We still see active groups like the kings, omeritas, followers of the apocalypse and heck even Mick and Ralph make a cameo throughout the strip and freeside.

.........

Route 2: (A much riskier route and one that needs a good explanation. All factions seemingly lost?)

The Ncr is in ruins, yes we know shady sands happened but if you want to make a NCR ending "open to interpretation" what the hell could have happened to them after everything the courier might have done for or to them.

The Legion is at a stalemate, to be honest even if they gave a canonical NV ending, it's less than likely that it would have been a Legionary one. Even so, I think the current state of the Legion is something that could happen especially 15 years after the events of NV.

Vegas on the other hand.... oh boy, similar to the NCR I can understand peoples disappointment with it's current state, pretty much most of its endings see the strip occupied for the better. This is why im more intrigued than I am disappointed. WHAT THE HELL could have happened to this place for it to be in such a state. This is were im reserving my thoughts until we get a good explanation.

I understand people thinking that all of the Couriers progress might seem meaningless but a lot can happen in 15 years so again, hold out for the explanation. This is why more than anything I'm so curious and intrigued with the route that the showrunners have made.

I'd love to know your thoughts and opinions because thos episode was huge lore wise. Even the after credit scene of camp mccarran could have been a season finale cliff hanger in itself.
