AITA: My husband has turned our spare room into a dumpster and refuses to clean or declutter

My (39) husband (40) and I live in a three bedroom house with our daughter (4). We use our spare room as a shared work space. I have a desk in the room that I use to work from home at least three days a week. He has a job that requires him to be on site to work but uses the room to store his work equipment as well as his clothes as they don’t fit in our bedroom. He doesnt care about mess or dust and will just throw rubbish (old cardboard boxes, clothes tags etc) on the floor. He doesn’t dust or hoover and his clothes and work equipment are spilling out of cupboards. He has piles of papers, clothes and other random items on every surface that he won’t let me throw away. The room is really dusty and always a mess, and although I try to vacuum and keep my own area clean as much as possible I find it really depressing to be stuck in here three days a week. I have asked him to keep it clean for years and have even said I will take some days off work to help him declutter. He always says that he will do it, but never does, and then acts like I’m nagging him. I feel like it’s really disrespectful to treat a shared space like this, especially as it’s me who has to spend the most time in the room but he thinks my expectations are too high and it’s just not that deep. Am I the asshole?
