Just starting: What should i do/know?

Hello everyone!

I‘m in first Master Semester in Germany for German and Philosophy and I‘m planning to spend my last Semester in 2027 abroad and finish my master thesis there preferably at Temple, Upenn, Smith College or Amherst College. After I‘m planning a binational Phd between Germany and the U.S.

So here are my questions: Should and Can i apply for the scholarship just for my last semester to write my master thesis? Can I apply again for my phd? What steps should i do now to increase my chances of getting accepted next year? What other options do i have for writing my Master Thesis at an american University without this scholarship?
