The lead kid actors of Stranger Things are some of the most privileged people on Earth

A kid becoming insanely popular for being a child actor in a popular web series has very little to do with the kid itself. The kid didn't initiate the process of being considered for the role, the parents did which is the most important part.

The kids had zero input on the quality of the writing and overall narrative. It's purely luck that the show actually becomes a super hit.

These kids are now set for life. Fame and fortune all handed to them as they enter adult life. But you know what makes them more privileged than people who inherit a fortune? That the world will look at them as self made people when in fact they are absolutely not. It's the best of both worlds. To enter your adult life as insanely popular and rich with the world at their feet for future opportunities all the while being able to label yourself as a self made person.
