How to get a soft toy in (anal)?

I bought my first soft toy from Nothosaur, it's a small conola.

I CAN'T get it inside, it's too soft. The head is also bigger than what I'm used to (slightly, not a lot), but the fact that it's so soft makes it impossible to apply pressure. How can I get it inside?

Also when I opened it it had a strong chemical smell, is it normal / safe ?
