Orthostatic hypotension

38m. I've been on in-clinic HD since May. And honestly things have been going pretty good. I feel much better than I did prior to starting treatment.

My biggest issue is I have extreme orthostatic hypotension. This started a few years ago when I got covid. I was suffering from CKD already but covid really wrecked me. I didn't get sick at all. I just started passing out every time I stood. Went to the ER and tested positive and good thing I did because my potassium was 8.5.

Ever since then I have the drop when standing but it's normally mild and corrects itself with just a little bit of dizziness.

But dialysis is a whole different story.

Yesterday my BP during treatment was high 210/100. My BP after sitting was 180/97….my standing was 70/50… and as you could expect with a 110-point drop from standing I was OUT. Fell back in the chair in front of everyone. It's a full body reset. You can't hear. Can't see. Can't talk although you try to. Your body starts DRIPPING sweat. Took me at least 15 mins to fully recover. This is the fourth time I've passed out fully. Doctors are aware and have been working on changing meds up and fluid numbers. But it really screws me up for the rest of the day. I just feel "off" after one of these episodes. Just spacey and out of it, even when my BP recovers.

Does anyone else suffer from this?
