Eunhyeok currently exists in a social vacuum where his character is judged not by his actions, but by a predetermined narrative of malice where his every move is scrutinized under a double standard. He is trapped in a “no-win” position where every gesture of protection or respect is weaponized against him. Whether he acts or remains still, the "verdict" of his character seems to have been decided by his critics beforehand, leaving him in a permanent no-win position.

Regardless of his intentions or the outcomes of his actions, the criticism against him has transitioned from objective analysis to forced hatred. He is no longer being judged by his character’s merit, but by a predetermined narrative that seeks to villainize him at every turn.

\*\*The Double Standard of His Actions\*\*

The contradiction in the "critiques"

against him reveals a clear bias:

\-The Respect vs. Incompetence Trap-

When Eunhyeok follows Suae’s request to maintain professional distance, he isn't seen as respectful, he is criticized for being "incapable of adult communication." However, if he were to ignore those boundaries to explain himself, he would likely be labeled as “disrespectful or pushy”. He is penalized for the very restraint he was asked to show.

\-The Safety vs. Stalker Narrative-

Choosing to ensure Suae gets home safely when she’s drunk, an act of basic decency is twisted into the profile of a stalker. Similarly, being present to ensure she isn't alone on the road when her car was broken is stripped of its protective intent and rebranded as "creepy." In this narrative, his presence alone is treated as a crime, regardless of the safety he provides.

\-The Heroism vs. Narcissism Spin-

When he steps in to stop paparazzi and prevent a life-altering scandal, it isn't seen as protection but his intervention is dismissed as a "savior complex" and a cynical attempt to ease his own guilt, rather than a genuine shield for Suae’s reputation. By this logic, there is no way for him to protect Suae without his motives being questioned as self-serving.

\-The Strategic Malice-

Even a phone call to Dohwa is viewed through a lens of suspicion, with onlookers inventing a blackmail plot before a single word is even exchanged.

For Eunhyeok, the truth is secondary to the spectacle. He is navigating a minefield where the goalposts are constantly moving, if he stays back, he’s negligent; if he steps forward, he’s a predator. At this point, the hatred directed toward him isn't a reaction to his mistakes, it’s a hobby for those determined to misunderstand him. He isn't being judged by his actions, his actions are being manipulated to justify a predetermined hatred.

When every positive gesture is twisted into a negative trait, it becomes clear: the hatred is no longer about the story, it’s a targeted effort to ensure he never wins.

It suggests that for some, Eunhyeok’s only "correct" move is to disappear entirely, easy?

“The hatred is no longer about the story, it’s a targeted effort to ensure he never wins.”
