Server Browser freezing?

Just as the title says: anytime I open the server browser I have a few frames, if I’m lucky a second or two, before it just freezes. None of the servers actually appear either, just infinite blank space that gets larger (browser bar shrinks) until the game freezes. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve tried verifying my files but it doesn’t seem to do anything.
