Sold my Domino DF500, and so far not regretting it
I have a small furniture business which many would call a "side business" (growing it as my post-exit sustenance after I fully leave tech). I don't do high volume production work. I do custom, one-off pieces, or small-production batches. For instance, I did 13 two- and three-person music stands for my wife's choir. I think I used a total of 52 dominos in that build (two each leg into the foot). I used it often when I first got it, then slowly swung back to hand- or machine-cutting mortise/tenon joinery, and reserving the Domino for odd-ball cases, or when I started feeling lazy.
Anyway, after some amount of analysis and self-reflection, decided to recoup the money and sell the domino and whatever tenons I still had in stock for it.
It's been a few weeks, and I'm a handful of projects beyond, and haven't missed it yet. Time will tell.
Anyone else decided to sell off higher-end stuff that's not getting daily use, and to simplify things...?
