Question about posting frequency

DISCUSSION

Hi guys! I hope you're all doing well today! I'm basically brand new to this and I have been posting every day for about 3 weeks (all short form because I'm learning and I wanted to get the reps in). I feel like I'm getting better at scripting, filming, and editing but I'm finding that this is taking up WAY more time than I originally thought (I spent like 3 hours filming, editing, and tweaking a 33 second short lol). I absolutely LOVE the process and I'm not burnt out or anything but I feel like my content would get significantly better if I had more time to film and increase my editing skills - I might even be able to dabble with long form content.

That being said (and maybe it's just me), I want to potentially decrease my frequency to like 3-4 times a week but I'm worried that the algorithm might penalize me or even that my subs (I only have 17 but I didn't tell anyone about my channel so I feel like I worked hard for these) might feel disappointed since I've been so consistent with the daily uploads since the beginning of my channel. It probably sounds really stupid since I'm so early in the game but I feel like my videos are really getting traction (first few videos got like 50 views and now I'm averaging 1.5k-1.9k, not a lot compared to the big guys but the increase in views are really motivating to me). Does anyone have any insight or experiences that they can share on this? Is this all in my head? TIA
