is lenox rd safe between flatbush and new york avenue?

I’m helping my mom move apartments within the city. She lives in BedStuy but is looking for a new neighborhood and a fresh start. She has a lot of coworkers living in Flatbush in the ‘Lefferts Gardens‘ area and it seems nice, but I wanted to ask if the area she chose is considered safe for a middle aged woman and her disabled child (my sibling). They are on a limited budget and are balancing wanting to be close to work and friends as well as in an affordable area. Let me know your thoughts. I grew up in Kensington for a bit and thought Flatbush would be a similar vibe but am hearing a lot of back and forth on it now. I want to make sure my mom is safe. She’s very community oriented makes herself a part of every neighborhood she lives in. Let me know your thoughts!
