(Advice Needed) Portfolio Allocation for ₹20 Lakhs (2-Year Horizon) + ₹5k Monthly SIP
Hi everyone,
I am looking for advice on how to allocate a lump sum of ₹20 Lakhs for a short-term goal. I will definitely require these funds by the end of 2027 (approx. 24-month horizon).
Current Situation:
• Lump Sum: ₹20,00,000
• Time Horizon: 1.5 to 2 years (End of 2027)
• Risk Tolerance: Moderate to High (but conscious of the short timeline)
My Requirements:
-
Fund Division: How should I split the ₹20L? Given the 2-year horizon, I want to optimize for returns but cannot afford a 20-30% capital erosion if the market dips in 2027.
-
SIP Recommendations: I have a surplus of ₹5,000/month for long-term (7+ years) wealth creation. Which funds would you suggest for a "set it and forget it" approach?
