Chapter one! 

POV: Glory

Midday in the Rainforest, Glory layed down for suntime, hoping that she could get actual rest rather than Deathbringer shouting in my ear. “Ah~ peace and quiet, Just the sound of the waterfall and the rest of the rainforest..” I said as I drifted off to sleep. *after suntime finished* The sun was no longer at its peak. The RainWings were no longer resting, and so, I got up and stretched. “Deathbringer? Where are you?” I’d said cautiously. “Deathbringer!” Glory shouted, worried. I had fled from my resting space and flew down to the bigger pavilion, the one when I announced announcements and such. “Hmm. He's not here either.” I heard myself say, as she walked off the pavilion. As I returned to the lower levels by walking down the stairs, a dark figure laid in the shadows. My scales turned a pale green color and then went to red. “Who’s there?!” My voice shouted at the stranger. I’d heard chuckling then Deathbringer came out of the shadow. “You coconut-head! Why would you do that?” I said angrily. “ I wanted to see your scales turn pale green! You almost never, ever, ever change your scale color. Except when you're mad.” He said to me resonantly. “True. But that doesn’t give you a reason to scare me!” Glory said to him, still shouting. “Fine, fine. I apologise, my queen.” He said, doing a small bow. “Whatever.” I said, meaning to say, ‘I accept your apology’ to him, but came out as ‘whatever’. “C’mon anyway, I volunteered to help Mangrove and Orchid.” I said to him, flying down to the place Mangrove and told me to meet him. “Wait- with what?” Deathbringer said, following after me. “Fruit picking. They said it's the season where they see new fruits, and I also invited Jambu so he can find herbs for the healers’ hut.” I replied to him, landing gracefully at the spot. “Hello, your majesty!” Orchid said, waving at me delightfully. “Mangrove is just getting extra food nets. We hope this year we can bring back a big haul of fruit.” She said, “That’s good. Has Jambu arrived yet?” I asked her. “Yes, he’s helping Mangrove, though.” Orchid replied helpfully. “Alright.” I said, going to the shade. I had also noticed that it had been unbelievably hot in the day, like Sand Kingdom Hot. But extremely cold in the night. I’ll have to ask some NightWings about that..

I had so much fun writing this! I might go to 5 chapters, I'd say? I plan to put the links here once its out. Any recommendations for my next fanfic? Recommendations and reviews will go in the comments!
