Winona Ryder portrayed a character in the greatest way in cinema history,

I’m rewatching stranger things season 1 (last time I saw it I was like 11 and something I completely forgot about was this performance by Winona Ryder. She puts up a 2020 Charles Oliveira level of performance. It’s genuinely so refreshing to watch and Charlie heaton being the slightly sane depressed teenager having to step up as a adult to try and make some sort of sense out of his mother is a Dwayne wade level assist to Winona. On a serious note this performance by her is actually hurtful and beautiful to watch at the same time. She perfectly encapsulates a broken mother who refuses to accept her son is gone and sounding as crazy as possible at the same time. When she shows Jonathan the lamps and try’s talking to will it’s one of the most tear jerking scenes in TV history. Fr though why does nobody really talk about this GOAT performance that much anymore?
