Dishwasher smell

We've had a smell that's been bothering us. We had an AAV installed and drain angle fixed. Next I replaced the outeer house on my dishwasher (there was build up from lack of a high loop). I'm thinking maybe it backed up and even clogged? After I run the cancel and drain mode there's still some water under the filter, is that normal? I cleaned the filters and a few bits from under the filter. Any suggestions on a fix?
