Seeking roommate in Belmont

Hi, I’m looking for a roommate to move into a 2BR / 1BA in Belmont, MA on Feb 1. LGBTQ+ friendly.

I have been looking around but haven’t chosen the exact house yet — I’m actively looking and happy to co-search or to confirm a place and invite the right person to join the lease. Rent target: $1,200–$1,400 / month per person.

About me

•	Female, tidy and considerate. No pets.

•	Introverted. I have chronic insomnia and need a relatively quiet environment at night.

•	Hobbies: cooking, reading, movies, going on walks, walks, yoga. Love food.

•	Can do basic repairs and lift up to \~50 lb. I have a Costco card — happy to go shopping together.

•	Occasionally down to cook, watch a movie, or hang out — otherwise respectful of privacy.

Ideal roommate

•	Female (sex: female). Orientation welcome either way.

•	Kind, emotionally stable, direct communicator.

•	Keeps common areas tidy and shares chores — no habit of leaving dishes forever or letting trash pile up.

•	Guests: please give a heads-up before bringing people over. If a friend stays more than 3 nights, please let me know in advance. No loud parties after 10 PM.

•	Gamers welcome but keep volume reasonable — I’m open to co-op sessions (Don’t Starve, Stardew, Steam games) sometimes.

•	No long-term pets or unannounced extra roommates. Public areas should stay reasonably neat; private rooms are your space.

Housing search plan (so you know how this could work)

•	I’m currently scouting Belmont listings that fit the rent range and desired amenities.

•	Options: we can co-search and choose a place together, or one of us can secure a unit and invite the other to join the lease (details to be agreed). Security deposit / first month split will depend on the landlord’s rules.

•	I’ll share photos/listings, and we can schedule viewings.
