At what point we start talking about secession? Maybe NY state as a country or a republic of the northeast states?
I think the time is now when the government is saying to reject the evidence of eyes and ears. And these people just can't govern, there's an old saying that those who're new to power are the harshest ones. And truth is the first casualty of war, and the people who're new in power always feel like they're at war, so the truth distortion happens in every possible scenario.
And they depend on us more than we depend on them. We've the more industrial base, money, skilled population plus numerical advantage, more internationally tied economy, better infrastructure, we're literally ahead in every possible metrics.
And if we decide to pursue this path, we won't be alone, the pacific states will also join, plus we'll get help from other countries, including Canada, central + south America, and Europe, and they'll have to support us for their own existential reasons, as a unified fascist US would be a conquering machine, that'll absorb Canada, other parts of America, plus Greenland, then Iceland, then UK, and finally the continental Europe. This's what happened during the late stage Roman republic, as the southern Italy was filled with Greek city states, they were taken over slowly one by one, and finally the mainland Greek city states. Obviously it was slower, it happened over the span of 250 years, but things happen at a much faster pace now, so it'll be less than 10 years. There's a saying that Rome became an empire before it had emperors, so you don't need a god emperor or anything demagogue like, you can be a democracy and still be a warmongering state.
Boston massacres ignited a war and eventual independence from a despotic, tyrannical government. There's another chance now. Join or Die.
