Does FromSoftware really decide the price of its games or is it always the distributors (Bandai Namco, Sony, Activision) who decide it?

Many times I see people talking about the price of FromSoftware games as if Miyazaki handpicked which number he liked best for the price of each game, but how true is it that FromSoftware decides the price of its games?
