So many Qs about how Chopped works!

Chopped is my favorite FN competition show and I'm so fascinated about how the behind-the-scenes works. I would LOVE to know the process behind choosing the 4 basket ingredients, and if there is any kind of test-kitchen run-through, or...? I know there are some folks on this sub who have worked for the channel and I would LOVE to hear your intel!!!
