I have an unused jet spray bidet with a hose, which I haven't used for more than 1 year since I only use toilet paper. Can I use it now?

I learned that bidets basically clean alot better than Toilet paper alone, but I'm afraid to use my 1 year old Jet spray hose bidet because I fear there may be bacteria inside the hose since it was unused for so long. Please help
