Taking a break
Sorry, this isn't really "seeking optimism" per say, but more of to vent. I've been seeing a whole lot of VRA post here and on reddit and its just been setting down a doom spiral. I've had reassuring comments on another post, but my anxiety of this situation is going into overdrive. I can't help but feel hopeless. I've seen post saying that the Democrats would never win the House again, about how it's a forgone conclusion that the SC will gut the VRA, that after the VRA is gutted the GOP will pick up 200 legislators and +19 seats in the House, and more. It just feels like all the hard work that we've put in is all going to go to waste in a couple of years from now. It's like, why try? I know that's the goal, they want us to feel that way. Even with me knowing that they want me overwhelmed and to feel hopeless, so I shouldn't fall for it, but I just can't help it this time.
I don't really know how long I'll be gone, but I will be deleting Reddit from my phone sometime later today. I encourage anyone who's reading this to do the same if they're overwhelmed, whether it's today or tomorrow. Any optimistic comments on this post is welcomed.
Once again, sorry mods if this is breaking the rules for the "seeking optimism" flair.
