Eliquis Caused Massive Bleeding And A Month Later Bleeding May Still Be Occurring-Lab Results Arrived from 2 Days Ago, Seeing GI Tomorrow-Nervous

Physician Responded

32F Caucasian USA 205 lbs, no smoking or drinking, on medications including propranolol, respiratory, clonadine, vitamin C, Plaquenil , lithium and occasional vistaril and melatonin. Past medical history extensive but notable for CVID, Lupus, and POTS with daily low grade fevers, recurrent infections, rashes and severe fatigue.

I had bilateral pulmonary emboli a month ago and was put on eliquis (been on it in the past for another unrelated clot) and it caused massive bleeding (vaginal, rectal, you name it). I’m going to be getting repeat procedures (endoscopy and colonoscopies) but am wondering if results like these are concerning/indicate bleeding is still going on. I saw my hematologist two days ago and got these results yesterday from That visit and am going to my gastroenterologist tomorrow. Just really fed up with my body continuing to do scary things! I’ve had iron supplements and infusions in the past but I’ve never had results like these or the persistent on and off bleeding like this in my life
