Vaping caused gum recession according to my dentist, need to quit asap
Went to the dentist yesterday for a routine cleaning and she literally stopped mid-checkup to have "a conversation" with me about my gums. Didn't lecture me too hard but she was pretty clear that the vaping is making things worse, something about how the heat and chemicals mess with blood flow to the gums.
I'm not gonna lie, it freaked me out a bit, she said I should really think about cutting back or switching to something else if I want to keep my teeth longterm, which like... yeah I do want to keep my teeth lol
Anyone else had this happen? I'm trying to figure out what my options are here. I don't really want to go back to cigarettes obviously, and I'm not ready to just quit nicotine cold turkey because I use it for focus during work.
