how to prevent fainting when getting pierced??

i just got my ears pierced (3rd lobe piercing) and fainted for the first time. i never fainted while getting my ears pierced before so it was super strange. i ate a pretty hearty meal and drank lots of water before it and still fainted (probably from anxiety). anyways, im getting my septum pierced next week and don’t wanna faint again, so how can i prevent fainting?
