When did you start being able to leave your husky to go to work?
We have a new husky puppy and I've been lucky enough to get a huge chunk of time off of work until she's 16 weeks old. I go back to the office 2 days a week after this and we are trying to figure out what to do. She's potty trained and knows to go outside but doesn't have free access outside, she rings a bell when she needs out. She's only able to go on normal outdoor walks this Saturday due to late vaccines from the breeder.
We don't know what to do when I go back to the office, the plan was doggy daycare for those two days however every local one I've messaged is full with waiting lists pending so there's no guarantee.we will get one in time. I've seen people say on other posts they even left their huskies in crates all day when at work, but I don't understand how unless they toilet inside the crate? Ideally we don't want to crate her anyway when able but right now if not supervised she would chew the house up and dig the garden up and digs under the boundary fence so would likely escape. So she will be staying in my office with me whilst I WFH, and thankfully I can see the full garden from my office as it has double glass doors right outside. On office days we are not sure what to do since she can't be uncrated or left outside yet, and probably can't hold the toilet long enough for just a dog walker at 4 hours a time I think.
When did you return to any office work after getting your pup and how did you manage it? What age were they, How did you crate them, when could they hold the toilet for long enough to leave them for 4 hours at a time and how did you manage toileting for them whilst out?
Thanks!
